This kitchen remodel in Garden City, NY focused on upgrading the countertops to beautiful butcher block surfaces, bringing warmth, texture, and a touch of craftsmanship to the space. The homeowners wanted to replace their cold quartz counters with something more natural and inviting — perfect for cooking, entertaining, and everyday life.
What We Did
We carefully measured, fabricated, and installed custom butcher block countertops made from solid maple wood, finished with a food-safe oil coating for durability and easy maintenance.
Project highlights include:
- Custom-built maple butcher block with 1.5” thickness
- Seamless joints and precision corner cuts for a perfect fit
- Matte finish that enhances the natural wood grain
- Integrated cutting and prep zone near the sink
- Protective waterproof sealing to prevent moisture damage
We also replaced the old backsplash caulking, re-leveled the base cabinets, and added new LED lighting to accentuate the countertop’s warm tones.
Results
The new butcher block countertops completely transformed the kitchen — making it brighter, cozier, and more inviting. The natural wood surface blends perfectly with white shaker cabinets and black fixtures, creating a balanced modern farmhouse aesthetic.
